Position:  MST PSB Therapist

 

Job Summary:

 

Nationwide Children’s Hospital Behavioral Health has a position open for a highly motivated person to provide intensive, community-based clinical services to families of youth with problem sexual behavioral difficulties utilizing Multisystemic Therapy for Problem Sexual Behavior Youth (MST PSB), an evidence-based treatment model.  Duties include assessment, treatment, advocacy, and collaboration with community partners.  Therapist must be willing to work flexible hours, to participate in 24 hour on-call rotation, and to provide interventions in the family home and community.  MST PSB places significant emphasis on clinician development and ongoing training, and supervision in utilizing the MST model is provided.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

·   Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field

·   Appropriate Ohio licensure

·   Experience working with adolescents and, preferably, their families

·   Strengths-focused with strong interpersonal skills

·   Experience using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy preferred

·   Experience using Structural/Strategic Family Therapy preferred

·   Must have reliable transportation

Kennebec Behavioral Health (Waterville, Maine)

MST Therapist –   3 positions available- Augusta & Lincoln County, Augusta & Sagadahoc County & Penobscot County

 

This is a full time position working with clients in one of the specific areas listed above.  Utilizing multisystemic therapy, our staff provides short-term, time- limited, crisis oriented counseling services to identified families with children at risk of removal from home or those returning from an outside placement.


Successful candidates will receive two years of extensive training in innovative Multisystemic Therapy for children and families and supplemental training in MSTPSB adapation.

 

Position requirements:

  • Ability to interact with parents and children in emotionally challenging circumstances on a daily basis.

  •  Independently licensed, with a Master's in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related subject area preferred but will consider bachelor's level candidates with related work experience with families in home or community based settings.
